Chloroform is also known as Trichloro methane and it has a chemical formula of CHCl3. It will burn when mixed with highly flammable substances although it does not undergo combustion in air. It causes environmental pollution but it is used as a solvent and also as a reagent. It is widely used in the air conditioning industry today.
