The Hull Immerse Visualization Environment is a new and dedicated research centre based at the university. Its mission is to provide state of the art expertise and technologies related to visualization, human interaction and computing to enhance the quality and quantity of multidisciplinary research throughout the university and in collaboration with other universities and industry. HIVE provides a pioneering research infrastructure to assist researchers and industry with expertise focused on maximizing the benefits of visualization technologies. The centre includes a visualization auditorium, a visualization technology laboratory, a research laboratory and a high performance computing cluster. The centre has its own dedicated team to support research users adopting immersive visualization technologies.
