The world of Flavours

Karnataka is blessed with a truly rich and varied culinary heritage. Regional preferences differ vastly and depend locally available ingredients and spices. The State’s culinary repertoire encompasses the earthly flavours of Northern Karnataka, sumptuous spreads of the South, spicy seafood delicacies of the coastal region, the truly distinct Kodava cuisine and the famous Bijapur Biriyani. A rice dish made from a mixture of spices, saffron, basmati rice, meat and yogurt.
